Alumni Weekend '09 is coming!

Save the date! Alumni Weekend 2009 takes place June 5 and 6 on the Storrs campus. This is a great way to reconnect with your friends and see how the campus continues to evolve into one of the top institutions in the country. Join us to celebrate some great UConn traditions: enjoy the 30th anniversary of One Ton Sundae, paint The Rock, attend the James Mapes Alumni Show, honor M. Kevin Fahey for his 30 years of service to UConn and celebrate the 10th Anniversary of South Campus. Receptions will be held for Greek Life Alumni, Cheerleader Alumni and SUBOG/Student Union Alumni. The University of Connecticut Cheerleader's Alumni Association (UCCAA) is a proud and spirited group of cheerleading alumni who support our cheerleading program. All of our alumni are invited back each year to cheer along with the current squads for our annual Homecoming Game. Our alumni are also invited to the annual cheerleading brunch we hold to celebrate and honor both our current and past members of the squads.

Some of our Alumni have even come back to coach, including Patti (Panuczak) McWade ('77) in the 80's and Derron Forrest ('95) has been the assistant coach for the last 11 years! Our faithful alumni have also been seen helping out with choreography, stunting, tryouts, and even traveling with the current teams to support them on the road, as well as at local and national competitions!
