Welcome to UConn Cheerleading
The University of Connecticut is proud to have two amazing cheerleading squads! Each squad cheers in front of thousands of fans and on national TV throughout the year. Some squads have also competed locally and nationally.
Cheering in front of thousands of fans is exciting for our squads -- 40,000 at Rentschler Field during our home football games, and up to 16,000 for our men's and women's basketball games on campus in Gampel Pavilion or in Hartford at the Hartford Civic Center.
Additionally, post-season and 'March Madness' is an exciting time for our squads as we travel anywhere from New York to California to support our teams and represent our University!
